Privacy

You can use MENU GM without an account, and we never keep where you are.

Browsing is anonymous

You never need an account to look around. We keep a random visit id in a cookie called mgm_sid, tied to no name or account, which lapses after 30 minutes without activity. With it we count what happens on MENU GM: searches, pages viewed, dishes opened, and taps on directions, calls and QR codes. Restaurants see totals, never individual visits, and the raw counts are deleted after about 18 months.

Your location is never stored precisely

Near me asks your browser for your location only when you tap it, and choosing an area works just as well. Your phone rounds the position to about a kilometre before sending it. Our server keeps only the map area that rounded point falls in, never the coordinates themselves, and never writes them to its logs.

Reviews

To write a review you sign in with your email or Google. Your rating and words appear with your first name and initial, like “Fatou J.”. The photo you add as proof of your visit is seen only by our moderators. From it we keep only how far it was taken from the place and when; the photo itself is deleted 30 days after a review is declined, or a year after it is approved.
